Hegnsholt Estate can be dated back to 1664, when the farm was a part of Grønholt village. The main building is placed high up in the terrain straight out to fields and forests. The main building is from 1812 and build by the well known arkitekt C. F. Hansen for Adam Wilhelm Hauch. All buildings and the park has recently been renovated, and in the year 1999 the whole place got an award. The buildings are admirable in first class. The Park is about 2 ha big and was founded in 1812 as an english romantic landscape garden, that gives you different experiences all year round.

Cottage and Apartments are tastefully situated in the estate´s historic farmbuildings. The style is romantic and relaxed. Hegnsholt can give you a realy lovely experience in the most butiful and quiet surroundings next to a big forest and yet very close to all the turist sights in the northern Zealand. Driving by car to Copenhagen only takes 30 min., so a visit to Tivoli gardens is also within reach. You´ll also find a few restaurants with realy good specialities and cosy inns in the area.
