Hegnsholt

The history of Hegnsholt Gods dates back to the year 1664. The manor house is well sited in an elevated position surrounded by a beautiful landscape close to fields and forest. The main part was built in 1812 by the famous architect C.F. Hansen for Lord Chambaerlain Adam Wilh. Hauch. In 1999 all preserved buildings and the park received an award for fine restoration. The park - originally layed out as an English-romantic landscape garden - offers many varied experiences all year around. Now a days the converted former farm worker housings provide Bed & Breakfast apartments and rooms in a romantic style. On Hegnsholt Gods visitors can enjoy the beautiful surrounding country, even so close to North Zeland´s famous turist sights.
